Fernández Prieto and Tumbeiro v. Argentina

This case is about the arbitrary stop, search and arrest of two individuals, in separate incidents, in Argentina during the 1990s, a time during which warrantless arrests were particularly common. Argentina admit- ted responsibility and the Court found it in violation of Article 7 (Right to Liberty and Security) and Article 11 (Right to Privacy) of the American Convention.
